Taa Wongbe , Managing Partner
Originally from Liberia, Mr. Wongbe is a founding Managing Partner of The Khana Group, an advisory firm that is focused on economic and social development in West Africa. He is also a co-founder of the Liberian Professional Network and ONE Liberia, two of the largest Liberian Diaspora organizations. Prior to focusing on Africa, Mr. Wongbe co-founded Pangean Technologies, an award-winning technology company that provided communications solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Wongbe’s experience has covered a wide range of ICT-related industries. He has also worked with numerous senior management teams at companies like Deloitte & Touche, UBS, JP Morgan Chase, MetLife, Morgan Stanley, HP and Cisco on issues relating to technology and communications strategy, organizational performance and process development.
Ella Gorgla, Managing Partner
Ms. Gorgla has carved out a successful consulting career with some of the nation’s leading firms including Ernst & Young, IBM Global Services and Arthur Andersen Consulting. Ms. Gorgla has advised clients in the Investment Banking, Health Care, Retail and Manufacturing sectors. Her core area of expertise include Business Growth & Corporate Strategy, Contracts & Negotiations, Risk Management, Outsourcing & Cost Reduction, Strategic Planning and Economic Development. Ms. Gorgla received her BS in Engineering from The Ohio State University with academic honors, MBA from Columbia Business School and a Masters from London Business School with additional studies at Yale University. An avid traveler, Ms. Gorgla has visited over 15 countries including China, South Africa, Senegal, Morocco, Italy, Spain, France and lived in Liberia for over 8 years.
Orane Barrett, Vice President, Investment Banking
Mr. Barrett is a Principal Consultant with The Khana Group. He began his career at Intel Corporation as a process engineer and operations manager. He managed production schedule by planning headcount and equipment requirement needs and interfaced with other production supervisors, operators and technicians to meet aggressive manufacturing output goals. Prior to joining TKG, Mr. Barrett worked at UBS Investment Bank. As a member of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Group, he structured fixed and floating rate first-mortgage debt financing for UBS private equity clients. His primary responsibilities fell into three broad categories of deal execution, asset valuation and new business development. Mr. Barrett holds a BS from the University of Rochester in Chemical Engineering and earned his MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management with additional management studies at IESE Business School of the University of Navarra in Barcelona.
